Snapped these photos ages ago but didn't have the chance to go through them until now! I'm still a big fan of print mixing and I don't see that going anywhere. I'm a little obsessed with the print on the jacket--it reminds me of patterns I saw while traveling in Istanbul a couple years ago!

WITH A KISS

I've departed from my usual above-the-knee skirts recently in favor of midi lengths. There is something so classic and refined about a slightly longer length, and nothing is as classic as a pleated skirt! In black, it's a piece you know you'll wear for years. STARS & STRIPES

Happy President's Day! I promise it's just a coincidence that I'm wearing stars and stripes, lol.
I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine's Day weekend! My boyfriend and I snuck away for a weekend in Vegas--fantastic food, amazing front row seats at O (Cirque du Soleil is my favorite!), and not having to make the bed were just what we needed to recoup from our crazy busy weeks at work!

PATTERN PLAY

Keeping things short today! Mixing prints with these boyfriend jeans and patterned jacket. Added some gold accents with this studded vegan leather clutch from Hearts which I absolutely adore, and this necklace from Designsix (currently on sale for $11!).

SIMPLY LUXE

Hey guys! First and foremost, thank you so much for the well wishes on Twitter and Instagram! ❤ You guys are too sweet. Getting some blogging done from the hospital because time waits for no one, sick or not! :P Granted, this is a teeny bit behind schedule this week, but hopefully it's coming better late than never! :)

Rounding out my looks from Simply Be USA with this adorable collared dress from their Luxe collection! The sparkly threading and the contrast collar are so very chic. Love this dress!

I'm so excited for boot weather to be approaching, and this pair from Evans is the perfect basic black boot--heeled but comfortable, slouchy enough to tuck jeans into, and structured enough to stay up on their own. Very excited to wear these this season!

IN THE KISSER

It's been rough reacclimating to the daily grind, but I'm back in California, trying to catch up with life. Things have been absolutely crazy--lots of unexpected changes at work, we're moving to a new place soon (!!!), and there are several fun fashion surprises in the works! Can't wait to share with you all in a couple weeks. ^__^

The second I laid eyes on this shirt I knew I had to have it! I took a chance and ordered it even though it's not from the ASOS Curve line. For what it's worth, this is a US14/UK18 and would easily fit up to a US20/UK24. Score! Paired it with these super budget friendly sunglasses from Target which totally don't fit my face shape but I love them anyway. They're velvety and remind me of Minnie Mouse. Always a good thing! :D

IN YOUR SKIN

Every girl needs a swimsuit she feels awesome in and this suit totally does it for me. Does it hide every bulge, make me look 2 sizes smaller, or magically turn me into Beyonce? No. And I really wouldn't care for it to (aside from making me look like Beyonce...that would be pretty insane.). But I absolutely love the bright pink color and snakeskin-esque print, and I can't say enough about the fact that I spent an entire day out in the water and had ZERO wardrobe malfunctions. SO MUCH WIN.

I get so many comments/emails/messages about how I'm lucky because I have a flat stomach, or skinny legs, and I'm here to tell you, SEE BELOW FOR THE TRUTH. lol! I'm far from flat-stomached, and definitely don't have skinny legs, but that doesn't mean I'm about to hide under something "flattering" and sit on the sidelines at the beach! I'm a water baby and always have been, so if there's snorkeling, swimming, or boarding to be done, you'd better believe I'll be out in the water, not giving a crap how people think I look in my swimsuit.
