LONG OVERDUE

I know, I know...
*WAAAAVES* Hi guys! I know it's been a while since I last posted. I thiiiink most of you guys know, but I work full time (extra full time?) in a non-fashion position, and things have been CRAY. My job hasn't left all that much time for working on this old blog of mine, but I've resolved to kick things back into gear!So much has happened since my last post--I got to go to Nashville for CMA Fest (already making plans to go back next year!), the blogger lookbook I shot with Simply Be came out, I chopped off my hair, posted a bunch of looks for People Stylewatch, AND flew to New York to hang out with Eloquii on a super secret project--details of which I'm SO excited to share with you guys!! (But you can check out a sneak peek here!)

In the meantime, I wanted to share a look I shot a few weeks back. Just looking at the photos makes me miss my hair! T_T lol

SHADES OF BLUE

Happy Spring! :D I know we Californians haven't had to deal with the polarvortexsnowpocalypse that the rest of the country has had to endure, but I'm so excited for spring! Daylight savings means that it's still light out when I get out of work (YESSS) and the occasional weekend heat wave allows for poolside hangouts and outdoor grilling!
To me, nothing screams warm weather like a breezy, boho maxi dress. I love the pale blue of this high-low, billow-in-the-wind style from Rachel Pally, and can definitely see myself rocking it with strappy sandals for the summer (after I get the chance to take it to my tailor...haha).

WITH A KISS

I've departed from my usual above-the-knee skirts recently in favor of midi lengths. There is something so classic and refined about a slightly longer length, and nothing is as classic as a pleated skirt! In black, it's a piece you know you'll wear for years. WEEKEND WEAR

Opted for metal eyelet embellished sneakers and this super cute baseball jacket from Living Doll LA this past weekend! I don't consider myself sporty (at all), but I love adding athletics-inspired pieces to my weekend looks.  They make outfits feels easy, and there really is nothing as comfortable as sneakers! I'm usually a heels or flats kind of girl, but recently I've been craving cool sneaks for running errands without looking like I'm about to hit the gym..

Keeping things short today! Mixing prints with these boyfriend jeans and patterned jacket. Added some gold accents with this studded vegan leather clutch from Hearts which I absolutely adore, and this necklace from Designsix (currently on sale for $11!).

SIMPLY LUXE

Hey guys! First and foremost, thank you so much for the well wishes on Twitter and Instagram! ❤ You guys are too sweet. Getting some blogging done from the hospital because time waits for no one, sick or not! :P Granted, this is a teeny bit behind schedule this week, but hopefully it's coming better late than never! :)

Rounding out my looks from Simply Be USA with this adorable collared dress from their Luxe collection! The sparkly threading and the contrast collar are so very chic. Love this dress!

I'm so excited for boot weather to be approaching, and this pair from Evans is the perfect basic black boot--heeled but comfortable, slouchy enough to tuck jeans into, and structured enough to stay up on their own. Very excited to wear these this season!

DESERT PATH

Getting (slightly) off the beaten path for the last sweltering hot days of Summer!
Also, I promise I'm wearing shorts.

It's been a pretty steady 85 or 90 degrees here every day, so cool, breezy clothes are weekend essentials! My DIY bleached/dipdye cutoffs have been a wardrobe staple all summer, and this top from Umgee was just the thing I needed to transition them towards fall. (Umgee doesn't have an e-commerce site but you can check out their FB page here to keep up to date!) I'm all heart-eyed-emoji over the crocheted detailing at the hem and sleeves. So dreamy and boho-chic!

These boots are a recent budget-friendly find from Marshalls. They're so comfy and I love the wide shape and stacked heel. I'm so tempted to find it in other colors! Total hoarder tendencies.
