I'm in the midst of moving...again. It's such an endeavor but at least I have space for all my things now! It's just a pain being in one place while my clothes are all in another. Oh well, should be back to normal soon! *crosses fingers*

Also did some serious damage during this past weekend's black friday shopping! Got some good deals from Torrid, Macy's, Solestruck, and SWAK! Can't wait to share my finds as they pop up in outfit posts. :D

(The lace top in this post was purchased Friday as part of Torrid's $50 off $150 thingy!) Yay :D

ideeli sale: Plus Size Perfection!

Tomorrow is ideeli's very first plus-size only sample sale!! :D It will feature designers like Monif C., Donna Ricco, Seven7, Calvin Klein, and Adrianna Papell. 

While I wasn't blown away with the plus size options ideeli had in the Michael Kors sale (3 button downs and a pair of trousers...that's it?!), the Calvin Klein sale was much more interesting and had many more choices in extended sizes. Tomorrow should be even better, with amazing pieces like the ones below at seriously amazing prices.

Went for a while unsure of how to style this dress. The neckline is higher than I'm used to, but I love that it's balanced with a shorter hemline. Also, I've never been a huge fan of mixing brown and black but I love the way the colors turned out here. I love rich cognac leather and this Coach bag is actually what started that craze for me. It's already several years old but I still love it. :)

Also, these boots are the most amazing buttery-soft leather! They were a little snug in the calf when I first received them but a couple wears in and they now pull on and off easily. So comfortable.

I'm still waiting patiently for the weather to turn chilly. Starting to feel a little cheated of my warm weather outfits but I guess that's the tradeoff for nice weather during January and February! I'll live vicariously through everyone else's blogs until then! :)

Apologies for the super gtrainy photos! I had my fancy camera with me all ready to take photos and then realized that I had left my SD card in my laptop at home. Genius, I know. Soooo, these were all taken with my phone! 

Anyway, I love the idea of a cape but I'm not sure it's really for me. I'm thinking maybe on that cinches at the waist might have been a better idea. Also, LOVE these trouser jeans from Loop18!!! They fit perfectly snug though the thighs and are the perfect length for my ever-expanding high heel collection. Love! I wish I'd gotten a better photo of the ring I'm wearing, but it's from an ideeli sale! Original price is something like $120, but I snagged it for $29. I love a good deal! lol.

Leather shoes with buckles for the Baha Cat

I made leather shoes with buckles for the Baha Cat to go with the folk costume I'm making for the doll. The shoes I've seen in photos vary, but the common factor is black leather and gold colored buckles, so these should be close enough.

Here are the parts for the shoes. The insoles are made of one layer of cardboard covered with leather.


I started by attaching the toe part. As these shoes need to go over the wool socks I have knitted for the doll, the doll needed to have the socks on to make sure the shoes would be big enough.


These parts form the back and sides of the shoes. I attached the buckle first, so I was able to check before gluing anything that I could get the opposite strap into it. To see how to glue these parts in place, see this earlier blog post.

I've been looking for a black leather jacket like this for ages now. Perfectly snug sleeves that are long enough, slim fitting body, with zippers and buckles. Love! Snagged it while Gap was having their 25% off your entire purchase thing. Woohoo! :D

Anyway, I'm in serious withdrawal of the East coast. I'm craving real Fall weather and this 90+ degree Socal crap just isn't cutting it right now. It's November for cryin' out loud! Although I might just be crabby because I wan't to wear this jacket everywhere and it just isn't cold enough! I think a trip to NYC is in order.

ideeli: Plus Sizes!

It sounds a little ridiculous but I've been a member of ideeli for years now and I've purchased items twice. If you know me and my shopping habits, you understand that that's basically never. Why? Not because they don't have fabulous and gorgeous options, but because they simply don't carry my size, so I have to pick from the accessories (which are still awesome! I'm currently waiting on a ring from their noir sale!)
