TRANSITION DRESSING

Incorporating leather into my outfits in a way that won't leave me with a heat stroke has more or less become my mission in life. It may be 90 degrees but that won't keep me from wearing leather on a daily basis!

Paired with an embellished sleeveless blouse from Simply Be's Luxe collection, this skirt feels totally weather-appropriate. I can't wait until it cools down enough to pair these with a classic trench like this one or this sleek tuxedo blazer. This shirt would be way cute with skinny jeans and riding boots, too! :)

GILDED

Happy Friday guys! :D Embracing the remnants of long days and warm weather with bright colors and summery cuts!

When given the choice between gold and silver, I almost always reach for gold. There's something about the element that elevates any outfit. Whether it's the addition of a sparkly necklace, or the embellishment on a bright pair of shoes (how fun is the gold toe detail on these pumps?!), gold is always my favorite finishing touch.

I recently snagged this dress on final sale from LOFT but dumped it in my to-tailor pile since it was a few inches too long. Naturally I started rummaging through said pile when I ran out of clean laundry (and time!), so I grabbed the dress, brought the length up a bit with a gold belt, and headed out!

PERFECTLY PINK

I feel a little like Sailor Moon in this outfit and I'm really, totally okay with that.

Wearing this super silky Manon Baptiste top made me feel all prim and proper and I kind of love it. Paired it with a sparkly tulle skirt from back when Forever 21+ was still called Faith 21, and a sparkly, crinkly rose gold pouch. Clothes like this just make me want afternoon tea and cake. ^__^
