ELOQUII is BACK (and better than ever!)

 photo ELOQUIIISBACK.jpg
The plus size blogosphere is abuzz with the news that Eloquii has relaunched! If you're new to Eloquii, here's the short and sweet about the brand: Previously owned by The Limited, Eloquii, The Limited's plus size brand, was shut down due to corporate restructuring. Plus size shoppers everywhere were sad/angry/disappointed, and the original team behind Eloquii decided to take over and relaunch with cooler pieces than ever before! (I'm personally a fan of all the faux leather details!)

The company is now employee-owned, which I think is awesome. The coolest part? They'll be releasing new products in limited quantities every few weeks, so there will always be something new and fresh to add to your wardrobe. Can't wait to see where the brand goes! :D

Click through for a few of my favorite lookbook images below!

ALL STRIPED EVERYTHING. Need I say more?

Both of these dresses are perfect! How perfect is the blush pink dress for all the spring and summer weddings that are coming up??

PINCH ME: MYNT1792 HOLIDAY BLOGGER COLLECTION REVEAL!

You guys. It's taken ALL of my willpower not to tell you about this sooner, but we've just gotten the green light to share! I'm so beyond honored to have been able to design my dream jacket for MYNT 1792 as part of their holiday collection with 4 other bloggers. MYNT 1792 has been known for their seriously cool outerwear since they showed up on the plus size shopping radar, so being able to bring some of my own design ideas to them was an incredible experience!

Like a kid in a candy store, I incorporated all of my favorite things--an asymmetrical zip, leather sleeves with quilted detailing, bright gold exposed zippers, and a convertible design. I really hope you guys love it! ❤❤❤

Lulu Top (available mid-august)

My love for Thread & Butter is pretty well-documented (rocked their tie dye pieces in Hawaii here and here!), and while most of us are familiar with their bright, summery tanks and super wearable basics, they just released some new pieces for fall and they are cuuuuute.

Designer Spotlight: BECCA ETC

Last Friday, a few of my favorite bloggers and myself were invited to check out the new plus size swimwear line by Rebecca Virtue, BECCA ETC!

I can't express how excited I am to have another awesome plus size swimwear line out--BECCA ETC is full of flirty swimsuits in gorgeous colors, with fun details like sassy hardware and chic shapes, and an awesome selection of coverups perfect for going from the beach to drinks with the girls. What's amazing about this line is that there really is something for everyone--Becca Etc. includes bikinis in a variety of colors, tankinis in cute shapes with adorable crochet detailing, and chic one pieces for a little extra coverage.

Wheeee~~
Monique, Chenese, Rebecca, and Cid!

One of the things I loved about the BECCA ETC line is its awesome use of color and prints. All too often, plus size women are stuck with the basic black or navy one pieces in some tummy-cinching "control" fabric! I'm all for a little smoothing out, but sometimes you just want to look cute and not feel like you've got spanx on. Just check out all these colors and threads in their sewing room!

Onto the good stuff...here are a few of my favorite looks from the swimwear collection!

From the"Animal Instincts" collection! I'm totally getting that swimdress and one shoulder coverup. SO cute!

From the "blossom" collection. Cute print, LOVE the coverups!

Also from the "blossom" collection...Both the top and bottom are reversible! :P

Rebecca talking about her signature crochet pieces--the detailing is gorgeous! It's so nice to see colors and textures used on plus size swimsuits!

BECCA ETC also carries these shapes in basic black, bright coral, and aqua, and is currently offered in sizes 0x-2x, (ranging from a 14-22). In my opinion, it runs a little small, but, like most swimsuits, I'm sure it forms to your body with use. The attention to detail is fantastic--the tops have double reinforced boning on the sides, eliminating the need for an underwire (at least for me), and the hardware, and ruffles, and fabric textures are to die for. Overall, I'm super happy that in a category of plus size fashion (spon link) that is so often overlooked, BECCA ETC is seeking to fill a gap!

BECCA ETC can currently found online at Everything But Water, Bonton.com, and will be stocked at Nordstrom, Macy's, and Everything But Water stores.

For more updates on what's happening at BECCA ETC, follow them on Facebook!

Shoe Obsession: Senso

It's been a while since a shoe has completely floored me.
This pair by Senso did it

NEVE by Senso is currently available for pre-order at Solestruck. Such awesomeness will cost you $200 (free shipping, and way less than their designer counterpart) and goes up to a size 12.

I want it! Do you think I can convince my family to buy it for me as a belated b-day gift? (lol, I wish!)

Carmakoma A/W 2010 Lookbook: Carpe Diem

 all images from carmakoma

These are just a few of my favorite looks from Carmakoma's A/W 2010 Lookbook, Carpe diem.

In their own words, "the new Carpe diem collection by carmakoma is a celebration of the brave femininity...The woman in carmakoma's new collection is ready to face the world. She welcomes any surprise the day might offer and does not hesitate to seize the moment and stand up for what she believes in."

I don't know about seizing the moment, necessarily, but I'll definitely be seizing those clothes! I can't wait--the new collection hits stores in just 10 days! :)

Will you guys be shopping the collection?

Designer Spotlight: yystudio on Etsy

Aaaaaaand, we're back!

Sorry for the long lapse of time between posts! First my internet went down, then I was off in NY helping my sis move into an apartment...without any internet set up! Ack!

Anyhow, I've been wanting to blog about another amazing Etsy find: yystudio!
I believe it's a completely family based company specializing in custom made garments for petite and plus size women, which is fantastic! The shop is on the pricey side, but the items are TO DIE FOR.  Plus, with a perfect fit, you don't need to worry about returns! Make sure you have up to date measurements taken for you--and be thorough! They require almost every body measurement!

Some of my favorite items from searching through their shop on Etsy are:
Classic Three Quarter Sleeve Victorian Retro Long Coat: $348

I LOVE this coat. I think this is my favorite item from their shop! It's so cute, with a vintage-y/swingy shape and three quarter sleeves! I also love that it's made from cashmere, and has a silk lining--this is not for those afraid of dry cleaning!

Why, hello there gorgeous.

I want this jacket so bad. I could do without their long winded description of this jacket (I took the liberty of shortening it on this blog) but it. is. gorgeous.

It's a little Chanel inspired, and and just SCREAMS ladylike with a touch of bad. Soooo hot. You can also get the non-cashmere version for $159.80!

I'm kind of amazed by the originality and quality of design that independent artists have. This coat, for example, seems completely normal, with just some cute detailing on the back and ruching sleeves, but it definitely doesn't end there. This other photo of the front of the jacket is what really does it for me:

Isn't this gorgeous?? It would be so perfect for those days where you have to look polished but just want to curl up in a blanket. Perfect combination!

I want this so BAD! I die for anything with bows, so the big slouchy bow on this totally does it for me! You can also get this in any solid wool color. Hooray for options!

I love the vibrant color of this piece--and, it's another great comfy-looking item! I think the sleeves on this are fabulous, and the heavier fabric makes this is fabulous option for winter! At $130 too, PLUS free shipping, it's a total steal!

Orange Pure Cashmere Victorian Retro Cape-Style Hooded Coat: $268

I love the bright orange color of this coat. You can also get it in several other colors (the gray version can be found here). This would look so fabulous with leggings, boots, and some fabulous accessories, like fur! Looooooove.

That's all for now, my loves! Let me know what your favorite items from their store are or if you decide to make a purchase!

Yours, etc.
