SoCal has really been playing with my emotions with this hot-one-day-cold-the-next weather, and my style has been pretty spastic because of it. Skirt and a tee one day, jeans and a (faux) fur coat the next. I kind of love it though. I get to wear my spring clothes already but I don't have to put away all my winter coats just yet. Totally best of both worlds.

Side note, how perfect is this leather backpack from Grafea? Unfussy and the brightest white, I'm having a hard time understanding how I lived without it for so long. I've been obsessed with black and white looks for a while now, so I paired the backpack with my faux leather pants and wool moto jacket! And because I have a super girly streak that'll never go away, I finished the look with a lacy, scalloped top from Asos.

Shopping Spotlight: Wide Width Summer Sandals

I love shoes. They're supposed to be the great equalizer in fashion, after all! Everyone, regardless of size, can rock the hottest heel, right? WRONG. I guess I have fat feet too, because most shoes are too narrow for me. Major bummer. As a size 10W shoe, it can be really hard to find womens wide fitting shoes that fit well and DON'T look like something my grandmother would wear.

Shoe Obsession: Senso

It's been a while since a shoe has completely floored me.

YESSSSSSS. I can't wait until they get here! These are 300 times better than the other heels I just bought. Which I paid $60 more for. Which I'm now returning.

Oh my god. Of course all three pairs are sold out in my size. Not that I have the extra $310 laying around for these but sweetjesus I would make it happen. These are the sort of shoes that make me cry from the sheer happiness that they exist. And also likely make me cry from blisters. Not that I really care.

Torrid Shoe Review! Take Two.

Came back from my random foray into the wilderness to find a huge box of items from Torrid! Yayyy :) Here goes Shoe Review #2!

Sand Faux Suede Cuffed Wedge: $39

These shoes are SO INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE. I could easily imagine spending the day shopping in these! Plus, the fact that it's a wedge means that it adds a lot of sexy height while remaining completely walkable! My primary complaint is that the faux suede in this color tends to look dirty rather quickly even after being brushed. Also, since the cuff isn't adjustable, once again, it's too loose and my foot slides around a bit. Last but not least, there seem to be some air pockets under the faux suede...the material puffs up noticeably particularly due to the light color of the suede. Overall though, definitely recommend this shoe! Especially if you're considering it in black!

Black Crinkle Rome Heel: $39

I really want to love this shoe. It's sexy, a perfect stiletto height, and the crinkled material is a nice touch. BUT, I can't. the criss-cross vamps are supposed cut to accommodate a wide foot, but my foot just barely fits. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this for someone with a very wide foot!And once again, the cuff around the ankle is too large, making for an unstable heel--on me at least. (And I'm a seasoned high heelist!)

Electric Blue Quincy Heels

I can't seem to find this shoe on Torrid's website, but here they are! This shoe is great! It's comfortable, eye-catching, and easy to walk in. My only concern is that the platform seriously diminishes the space for your toes! Also marketed as a shoe for wider feet, this shoe feels more like a medium at first wear. I'm sure the vamp will stretch out with some breaking in though! :) This pair gets a big 10 from me! :)

Overall, I really liked the designs of these shoes. Each pair has little edits I would have made--wider vamps, a more stable heel, and adjustable straps on the cuffs, but these are all great pairs of shoes. When you're shopping for shoes at Torrid, I recommend finding pairs that have adjustable straps, and if you have any questions, to call their customer service or email their stylists! They've been a great help and they're always friendly! :)

Shoe Review: Torrid!

Torrid Madrid Heel: $39

The Madrids are amazzzzzing. As someone who has serious problems finding a shoes that fit well (my feet are flat and size 10 WIIIIDE), finding high strappy heels that fit and are comfortable is like winning the fashion jackpot! Pretty good, I've got to say. Plus, since the back has two adjustable buckles, you can adjust the fit so it's perfect.

The one drawback? I think they sent me a defective shoe. The part with the studs where the leather meets the wood sole was coming apart and had a mess of glue all over! There was even a red arrow sticker pointing it out! Called customer service and they're sending a new pair and emailing me a prepaid return label for the defective ones. Now that's good service!

Torrid Ruby Heel: $39

This is another great shoe--my only complaint is that it's a little too big around the ankle, and it isn't adjustable since the closure is a sipper, not buckles. Otherwise, the construction is good, it's relatively comfortable from what I can tell so far, and I really like the stud details!

Torrid Precious Cutout Satin Heel: $42

This shoe is seriously pretty badass. It's got a super sexy cutout design, and a cute bow on the back of the heel. The fabric is also great--a sturdy satin fabric. 

There are two drawbacks from this shoe: 1) Again, since it zips up in the back, you can't adjust it if it's too big or to small (too big in my case, and my foot slips around) and 2) the bottom of the shoe has VERY LITTLE traction. I was walking around the apartment testing them out and almost slipped. I'm going to have rubber soles put on the bottoms.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I can't wait to receive my non-defective Madrid heels though! I think they're my favorite :)
